About portraits
Portrait is an artistic representation of a person in which the face and its expression are dominant. The purpose is to show the person's image, personality and even mood. For this reason, a portrait is generally not just a picture of a person. It contains the emotions and energy expressed by the person portrayed.
"I started drawing as an amateur, but later I discovered and created much more. It was not only my drawing technique that progressed, but my personality. I created myself."
A portrait is not just a depiction of a person...
A realistic portrait is the product of decades of invested energy, perseverance, technical development and personal growth. Over the years, I have developed a drawing technique that allows me to show significant depth and detail, allowing me to approach extreme realism.
Portraiture requires responsibility and respect, as I believe that a distorted portrait is an insult to the person being portrayed. Each portrait is special and unique, as we are, so I constantly try to improve my technique to be able to show a realistic image of a person.

Portrait ordering process
1. Inquiries: For inquiries, write to e-mail info@krisarts.si. In the e-mail, state your wishes, requirements and the mandatory deadline for accepting the drawing. If it is a matter of making a portrait or a drawing, it is recommended that you send photos based on which you want to have your product made in order to make the offer easier.
2. Production deadline: Drawing a portrait requires mental concentration and a physically forced posture, so the drawing time is divided into several parts. The production of a high-quality realistic portrait of one person takes from 14 days or more, depending on the complexity. Due to the possibility of busy appointments, it is recommended that you send the order at least 30 days before collection, but it is better not to delay and secure your appointment in time.
3. Offer and additional orders: In the return message, I send you an offer with all the information, the suitability of the photos and the deadline for the production of the image. If you agree to the terms of production and the deadline, the production of your order will begin. If desired, I can also take care of framing the product. Framing can take up to 7 days and depending on the choice of frame, and the price depends on the choice of frame. A framed portrait of A3 size (297x420) with a passe-partout border (approx. 5cm) is usually 50x70.
4. Production: During production, I send you an insight into the details and the production process. When the product is finished, you will receive an overview of the finished product, if any finishing touches or changes are needed. When the product is finished, it is impregnated with a suitable impregnation, so it is more durable.
5. Pickup: Due to possible damage and handling of the unique work of art, personal pickup is preferred, but shipping via mail is also possible.

Additional questions?
What kind of photos are suitable for creating a portrait?
A condition for making a high-quality portrait is a high-quality photo, based on which the portrait will be drawn. It is desirable that the photo of the person is close-up, high-resolution, sharp and properly lit, which is already possible with a high-resolution camera on a mobile phone. It is also desirable that photos are sent directly via email, with a size of at least 1.5 Mb. Photos sent via social networks tend to lose quality and detail.
How are portraits made?
The portraits are drawn in graphite and mixed technique with pastel. Quality pencils or pastels are used to create portraits. They are drawn on quality, acid-free paper that does not yellow over time and impregnated with a suitable impregnation for dry drawing techniques.
Can a drawing consist of several photos?
The drawing can consist of several different photos. In any case, it is better and easier to summarize as many details as possible if I have several photos at my disposal, even if it is a portrait of one person.
